Happy Children's Day!

Happy Children's Day All.
May God keep us to witness more.

This children's day made me remember one observation I noticed a while back.

So few years ago, children's day was on a Sunday and as such, the children were allowed to anchor the service. They anchored the entire service from beginning to the end.
The role of the choir, ushers, elders, deacons and deaconess, and even pastor was handled by the children and it was fantastic.

Among the children was the pastor's son. I had not met him before but I recognized him immediately. I didn't recognize him because he did anything 'spectacular' per se, although, he was a part of the choir.
However, I recognized him because he is a spitting image of his father (the pastor). His complexion, the way he looks, the shape of his head, the shape of his body, everything was just like his dads. Immediately, I saw him, I knew he was the pastor's son. I could also identity some other children that looked like their parents.

While I was noticing the children that looked like their parents and commenting on, it dropped in my heart that as Christians too we are supposed to look like our father. We are supposed to be a spitting image of God. The Bible says that we are created in His image. Thus, if I am a Christian and I don't behave like Christ, there is something wrong with my life. People should see me and see Christ.

The apostles were referred to as Christians because they behaved like Christ. Do you behave like Christ? Can someone look at the way you think, act, talk, relate with people and say "he/she's a Christian"? Are you the spitting image of God?
Christ has given us all we need to partake in the divine nature. We are supposed to be imitators and followers of God.
Can you boldly say that you are a Christian?

Today a lot of Christians are asked if they are really Christians. In fact, for some, if they say they are Christians, people would argue that they are not. This is because only few Christians are a spitting image of God. Let us not just be Christians by religion, let our lives reflect Christ, let people hear what we say and know without being told that we are Christians. Be a spitting image of God.
God bless you.
