Heart Break

I want to end 2020 with one heart breaking experience I had this year. Have you ever been heartbroken before? If you have, feel free to drop your experience in the comment section, along side the lessons you learnt from it.

Before I proceed, I would like you thank you. Yes, you. You reading this post. Thank you for being a part of Hephzibah's Diary. I trust God to inspire us to post fresh and blessed contents in 2021.
Now back to my heartbreak story.
You know I make wigs right? If you don't know, now you do.

So, I decided to invest in my wig business by buying one 'very expensive' machine to aid my business. I didn't buy it because I had excess money. In fact, I spent my widow's mite on it. However, I found consolation in the fact that the machine was going to make the business easier and less stressful.

Unfortunately for me, while using the machine the second time, the insides of the machine caught fire and that's how it stopped working. My dear, I was numb. I felt seriously heartbroken and I was in severe pain.
I am honestly not trying to exaggerate, but it was a really painful experience for me.

Imagine spending all that you had on an equipment and you have not even used it for a week but it stopped working.
Imagine buying a new shoe and the heels broke the first time you wore it rendering the shoes useless.
Imagine buying a new phone and the speaker or mouth piece isn't working.
If you have had any of the above experience maybe you'd understand the pain I felt that day.

On that day, I felt very sad, I lost my appetite, I kept lamenting to all that were willing to listen and I wasn't having any of it. While being sad, a questions started to pop in my head.
"Hope this is not how sad God is over your life?"
"Hope God isn't experiencing a heartbreak over your life?"
"Hope you aren't grieving the Holy Spirit?" and I started to think about it.

I felt I gave all that I had but God really gave all that He had. He gave us His only begotten son that we may live in the newness of life. So, imagine the pain that God must be feeling seeing that we aren't functioning as He expects us to.

I felt I was investing in my wig business and I wanted to see it strive. God also invests so much in us. He has given us gifts, talents, etc. and expects that we utilized them and strive. Imagine how heartbroken God must be to see that His investment in us is not yielding any return.

Jesus gave His all for us. He gave His life for us. He died so that we might live. Imagine the pain Jesus must be feeling when He sees that we aren't living. Are you living? Is Jesus' death over your life in vain?

Remember that parable of talent in the Bible? Check Matthew 25:14-30. The message version records that the master was furious at the servant that went to hide his own talent.
Don't hide your talent. Make good use of what God has given to you. I pray that God won't be furious at us o.
As we are rounding up this year and entering a new one, purpose in your heart not to grieve the Holy Spirit. Work towards utilizing all the gifts and talents that God has deposited in you. Ensure that you live the God kind of life. Don't let heaven be sad over your life. Don't let God be heartbroken over your life.
Make God smile this new year. Let heaven rejoice over your life. Don't let the investments of God fail over your life.
I pray that God enables us to do better this new year and beyond.

Happy New Year in Advance.
I Love You!
