My Crashed Laptop
Do you remember my last post where I told you about my bad days which included by laptop crashing and all? This post is about the full laptop crashing gist. So, keep reading๐ ...
On this fateful day, I had to submit a literature review by 12 midnight and I started working on it as early as 5am. I had typed a reasonable part of the review and boom, the laptop just went off. I tried putting it back on, it didn't work. P.S- I had not saved any part of the work (I literally became weak).
That I was devastated was an understatement. I talked to my closely friends, none of them knew what to do. At some point, the screen came on but it was glitching. After like few seconds, it went off again. I called few friends of mine and asked them for their laptop chargers with the hope that charging the laptop with a different charger would make it work. I tried all I could, but all was to no avail.
Afterwards, I took the laptop to a repair shop and they also could not make it come on. I have been using that laptop for a while and I had a lot of stuffs on it that I really needed. Also, I was running out of time for the submission of my assignment. I really did not know what to do.
After a while, I went back home and just started crying. I was so helpless and did not know what to do. I just had to cry it out. I cried so much that my eyes were swollen and my head was hurting. Few minutes into my cry or wail, a friend of mine called. This friend asked if I was crying but I said I was not. Less than 2 minutes after the call ended, I saw this friend in my house, asking what was wrong. After explaining it all, my friend removed the hard drive from the laptop, copied all the important document, and recovered all necessary documents.
See my take home below...
My friend rushed down because I was crying, listened to me as I poured out my struggles my frustrations and at the end of the day recovered all the documents I thought I lost. Then it hit me. If an earthly friend could do that for me, how much more God. God can do far much more than our minds combined can fathom.
You see, God loves to restore us. He can restore our joy, He can restore the joy of our salvation and our soul, He can restore our health, He can restore our fortune, He can restore EVERYTHING. And all we just need to is call unto Him. If you can cry unto Him, be my guest. No wonder the Bible says "Call unto me all you who are weary and heavily burdened and I would give you rest". Instead of crying about that situation, try crying to God. You might have tried all you know to try about that situation, try calling to God today, try crying to God, try pouring out your struggles and frustrations to God.
You might be going through something serious and you feel weak and devastated, you might even feel helpless and just want to cry. I challenge you to cry to God instead. I challenge you to call on God today regarding that situation you are going through, and trust me, He is able, and He can do exceedingly abundantly far above whatever we may think or ask. You might think that that situation has crashed but trust me when I say that God can still restore the situation. Just talk to Him about it.
He wants us to call to Him. Isaiah 40 verse 31 also says that the strength of them that wait on the Lord shall be renewed, they shall mount on wings like eagle, they shall run and not become weary and they shall walk and not grow tired.
This is a call for us to wait on God. It is a call for us to always call on God, as well as a call for us to put our hopes and trust in God. I pray that there will be a restoration in whatever aspect of your life that you are looking on to God for restoration for. God bless you!
